About Tenderholt
One house. Five shelves. Two imprints.
Tenderholt is a small, independent digital store built around a single idea: family life runs on paper and numbers — and both deserve better tools.
The name packs the whole house into one word. Tender is the gentle side: bedtime stories, and the care of the people (and animals) we love — and it’s also legal tender, money, the other half of the house. A holt is a small wood, a shelter — in old English, an otter’s den. A shelter for the whole of family life, then. That’s the job.
The five shelves
- Kids’ Books & Activity — Milo’s Little Adventures: seven gentle storybooks about the big feelings of little childhood, plus Busy Books, a big coloring book, a tracing & writing workbook, and printable routine charts. Imprint: Velvet Otter Books.

How we build
Every product is built to standards we print on its page, not slogans: complete contents listed honestly (with the numbers to match — page counts, field counts, sheet names); a filled SAMPLE beside every blank spreadsheet; both US Letter and UK A4 in every binder and chart pack; spreadsheets parity-tested in older Excel and Google Sheets; files kept light enough to open instantly on an old laptop; and no watermarks on any page, ever.
An honest note about our children’s books
The Milo books are made with AI assistance, and we declare exactly how, everywhere: the illustrations were created with the help of AI image tools, then selected, arranged and finished with care by the author — that sentence is printed on every book’s copyright page — and the story texts were created with AI assistance under the author’s extensive editing and direction, the same declaration we make to Amazon on every title. We will never claim the art is hand-drawn or the process is something it isn’t. The activity books’ puzzles (mazes, codes, word searches, spot-the-difference) are generated from the author’s own designs and solver-verified by computer before a book is printed.
The people
Tenderholt was founded by MD Shamim, who is also the author of the Milo books (published under Velvet Otter Books). The Milo paperbacks and Kindle editions are sold on Amazon; everything else lives here, in our own store, where your purchases come with a permanent downloads library and a human who answers support within one business day.
